Project: Shops at Tanforan The glass and steel shopping mall “Shops at Tanforan” in San Bruno, CA.
This tubular structure features standard bolted connections, making the detailing, fabrication and assembly much easier than tubular angled welding.
The roof angles result in steel columns and beams that are all different in length and angle.
The heap and valley structure is very irregular and all the pieces and connections have to be designed individually, with almost no replication possible.
